Find True Love Through Gratitude - Using A Gratitude Journal To Attract Love

By Sandra Rohr You want true love, but you find yourself alone and lonely, despairing of ever having a loving life partner. You come home from work and throw yourself in front of the TVjust to keep from crying from loneliness. Or you determine to keep busy and fill your evenings and weekends with activities, but at the back of your mind is the knowledge that ultimately, you will go home alone and crawl into bed alone. When you talk with your friends, one of the main topics of conversation is the lack of suitable partners in your life. As difficult as it may be to believe or to do, being gratefuleven when we lack something we so much desireis one of the primary means to achieving that desired thing. And this applies to everything we want, including relationships. Some years ago, I experienced my first real heartbreak: I lost the first real love of my life, and I thought I would die. I was fortunate to have good friends who would let me cry and snuffle, but I was deeply unhappy with my life, and I couldnt see any way to happiness. Then one day, I was introduced to Sara Ban Breathnachs Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude, and was assured that keeping a gratitude journal would change my life. Since my life certainly needed changing, I decided to try it. The concept is so simple: just list 5 things daily for which you are grateful. Thats it. A simple list, no long paragraphs or deep examinationnot even saying why you are grateful. And the gratitude need not be for something huge in your life; it can be as simple as appreciating the antics of a loved pet, or the way the sunshine comes through your window and makes patterns on the floor. As I faithfully kept my journal, there were days when I had difficulty finding anything for which to be grateful, and sometimes my lists were repetitive, but I persisted. And my life did change, becoming far more meaningful and far more satisfying than it had been before I lost that love. In fact, keeping this journal launched me into an unbelievable journey of personal growth and joy, and today, when things get rough, one of my first tasks is to focus on all that I have to be grateful for. The joyful vibration of gratitude and appreciation helps us activate the powerful law of attraction that brings more good into our lives. And there is the added benefit of feeling wonderful, even as we wait for what we want to materialize. And, oh yes, a new love did come into my lifeone who brought far more joy to me than the one I had lost. Are you ready to attract a wonderful new partner into your life? Then begin to implement the following actions in your life: 1. Get a journal. While you can keep a gratitude journal on just any paper, I find that having a journal that appeals to me visually is an added incentive to be faithful to this. 2. Decide on a time when you can faithfully record your gratitudes; for me, just as I crawled into bed was the best time, but you choose the best time for youthe time that will be most conducive to your faithfulness. Be sure to record the date every time. 3. Day 1: Record 5 things for which you are grateful. 4. Day 2: Record 5 things for which you are grateful. 5. Day 3: Well you get the idea! Occasionally, as you continue this discipline, read back through earlier entries, and enjoy the evidence of how things have improved in your life.
