Bottled Water Direct From the Tap

By Linda Symonds Almost everywhere you go today, you see people carrying a bottle of water. Over the last decade the bottled water industry has enjoyed explosive growth and many of us, it seems, have fallen in love with the taste, purity and convenience of bottled water. There is no disputing the popularity of bottled water; but is it really better than good old tap water? Bottled water is simply water from some source that has been placed in bottles for sale. The source of the water could be the natural spring pictured on the label, or it could be filtered municipal tap water. The bottled water industry would like us to believe that bottled water is more pure than our own tap water, but a good quality water filter installed in the home will provide water of equal and even better quality than bottled water. A study by Ohio State University found that 39 out of 57 bottled water samples did indeed have “purer” water than unfiltered tap water. However, 15 samples had significantly high bacteria. For water quality, that is at best, no better than what you would get from your tap with a water filter, bottled water is expensive; often costing more per gallon than gasoline. Purchasing one $0.69 cent bottle of water per day would add up to $248 per year. Filtering your own water at home would cost a cent of two per day or about $8 per year - saving $240. In these busy times, the convenience of bottled water has become a major selling point. It’s so easy to simply reach into the refrigerator and pull out a bottle of crystal clear water. It has zero calories, zero fat, and we can sip it no matter where we may be for the day - in meetings, at the supermarket or in the classroom. When we’re finished with the plastic bottle, we just drop it into the trash or the recycle bin. But what if, instead of throwing that plastic bottle away, we took it home and refilled it from our own tap. We’d have a renewable supply of bottled water for just a few cents per bottle and we’d be diverting that plastic bottle from the waste stream. It’s so easy to do and takes only a few extra minutes. The cost savings, along with knowing that you really are drinking good quality bottled water are worth the effort. To start bottling you own water, you’ll want to be sure you have installed a good quality water filter. A good quality, reasonably priced water filter, costing about $30, can be installed in just a few minutes directly onto your tap and provide pure, clean drinking water. Washing the bottles is important. Bacteria can build up in the moist are around the cap of the bottle so you’ll need to wash the bottles before reusing them. Either pop them into the dishwasher or wash them in the sink with soapy water. Rinse and dry the bottles as much as possible, particularly around the rim. Refill the bottles and store them in the refrigerator. They’ll be cold, clean and ready when you want them. If, after a few uses, you find that the bottles begin to look tattered, invest in a few good quality reusable sport bottles. They are attractive, durable and easy to clean. Relationships: Coming From A Place of Love

By Nick Arrizza, M.D. In recent articles on relationships, their challenges and their triumphs I have discussed how one’s one personal history of trauma: 1. Reduces one’s self esteem, self worth, self confidence. 2. Impairs one’s ability to be open, honest and relaxed with their partner. 3. Leads to a relationship based on neediness and codependence. 4. Blocks real intimacy from developing naturally. 5. Creates misperceptions of the other’s behavior that then leads to unnecessary conflict which undermines the relationship further. One thing that I havent mentioned, and which is the point of this article is that trauma “shuts down the heart” of an individual. What do I mean by this? Well I mean that it: 1. Impairs one’s ability to trust others. 2. Blocks your ability to feel peace, calm, joyful and relaxed. 3. It impairs one’s ability to feel and express Love genuinely. Although all of the above are necessary for a strong relationship the last, I’m sure will ring a loud bell of warning. I’m sure you’ll recognize, when ever you feel love for something, that it is felt most strongly over your heart. That is because that is where it originates from. When an individual experiences and/or carries trauma the heart begins to feel a deep sadness. In many cases the sadness may feel overwhelming if felt continuously. So what happens is that the sadness gets walled off behind a wall of fear which I call the “fear of feeling one’s feelings”. This may sound familiar to some of you I’m sure. Well this wall also blocks you from feeling all of the other feelings that originate in the heart, including feelings of Love. So it cuts you off from an experience that is supposed to guide you towards your partner and help you solidify your relationship. Without it where are you? Well you are lost, confused, numb, needy, and likely running into individuals who are not right for you. If you’d like to rectify this dilemma you may wish to visit the web link below where I have a special message waiting for you. Santa Overheard at a Recent Job Interview

By Bonnie Lowe The following conversation was overheard during a recent job interview: Employer: “I notice you put three different names on your application: Saint Nicholas, Kris Kringle, and Santa Clause. What shall I call you?” Kris: “Kris is fine.” Employer: “So, Kris, tell me a little about yourself.” Kris: “I’m a jolly old elf who lives at the North Pole. I love children and reindeer. I’m good at making lists. And I don’t mind travel.” Employer: “Hmmm… You’ve got a spotty employment history. You’ve worked at Macys and many other stores, but only for a few winter weeks. Why is that?” Kris: “I can only get work in November and December. I tried applying in person during other times of the year, but they just gave me an odd look and shook their head. I think it might’ve been age discrimination.” Employer: “How are your team-building skills?” Kris: “OK. I once had trouble with a new member of my team. The other team members used to laugh and call him names. But I had him lead the team one foggy night, and afterwards the rest of the team loved him; they even shouted out with glee. It was pretty weird at the time, but everything’s cool now.” Employer: “What are your greatest strengths?” Kris: “My listening skills are excellent. I have a strong lap. I’m good with kids. And I’m not afraid of heights.” Employer: “What are your biggest weaknesses?” Kris: “Milk and cookies. They’re the reason I have this belly that shakes like a bowlful of jelly!” Employer: “Why should I hire you?” Kris: “I see you when you’re sleeping. I know when youre awake. I know when you’ve been bad or good. So be good, for goodness sake, and hire me! Otherwise, I’ll have to put you on my ‘Naughty’ list. Believe me, you don’t want that.” Employer: “Are you threatening me?” Kris: “No. I’m not very good at threats. With the cost of gas and electric heat these days, people actually look forward to receiving a lump of coal. I’m just saying it’s better to be on my ‘Good’ list, because I send a copy of my ‘Naughty’ list to the IRS.” Employer: “When can you start?” Kris: “Ho, Ho, Ho!” Bonnie Lowe is author of the popular Job Interview Success System and free information-packed ezine, “Career-Life Times.” Find those and other powerful career-building resources and tips at her website: http://www.Best-Interview-Strategies.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Bonnie_Lowe http://EzineArticles.com/?Santa-Overheard-at-a-Recent-Job-Interview&id=101609 fraud alert on credit report 100 mortgages with bad credit business credit report bad credit debt loan

The Real Challenge Of Weight Loss

By Hilda Maria Weight loss is never easy. Although this is stating the obvious, it is nevertheless very true. People who need to lose weight are not in their overweight condition out of choice. Many people falsely believe that if individuals were to stop eating so much they would lose weight. It is time for not only those who need to lose weight to wake up, but for those that do not understand the weight loss troubles of individuals to wake up as well. Here, we will touch on why people are overweight. And, we will talk about getting to the root of the problem, the challenge of weight loss. First of all, those who are overweight must find a way of finding out their true trauma or reason that they over eat or are over weight. This is not to be harsh, but the fact is there is a reason why you are the way you are. Finding this reason is sure to open doors to the way out. It is far from easy to do this, though. You will need to put yourself in a vulnerable position to see what is happening within you. For those who are in denial, there is no way out unless you take the time to explore within yourself the reasons why you are where you are today. Simply, be honest with yourself. The next, difficult task that you need to go through is being willing to lose weight. That seems silly almost because doesn’t everyone who needs to lose weight want to? The truth is that you have to be ready to work for it. You have to want it enough to do whatever it takes to get to that point. Absolutely no one said it would be easy. But, the challenge will be well worth if. So, if you truly want to lose weight and you are ready to give up the reasons you are in the condition you are in, then, you can move forward. Now, we can get to the real meat of the issue of weight loss. Remember how we said that many individuals who are overweight eat or do not take care of themselves for a reason? Well, that is what we will now focus on. For those who are not overweight, it will be hard to understand the relationship people often have with food. You may not really understand how this can happen, but instead of questioning it, accepting it would undoubtedly help the individuals in your life who are overweight pull out of it. Acceptance of the problem will allow you to help them. Why do you eat? Many people who are overweight eat not because they are hungry, but out of things like fear, anger, and frustration. Stress is often a cause as well. There are hundreds of other reasons as well. The point is that people, who eat not because they are hungry, but because they have emotional problems, need help in order to get out of this situation. Realizing what this reason is the most important first step. Asking questions like the following will help you determine why you eat. * Do you eat before work or school? * Do you eat after an argument with a friend or relative? * Do you find yourself bingeing when you are afraid? * Do you worry about things you can not control? * Are you depressed with any area of your life? * Do social situations bother you? We can and will talk about different questions that you may relate to in a bit. But, for those who answered yes to any of these, it is possible that you have an emotional eating disorder. This can be a quite common thing for people who are constantly worrying or under pressure and stress in any part of their life. In order to correct this eating problem, there are several things you will need to do. First of all, you will need to know why you are doing this. Dig deep and really pull out what it is. A fear of failure, a stressful life experience, or just plain old stress can trigger this type of disorder. It is up to you to find out just how this is happening. Once you know what it is, you can begin solving the problem in order to stop the eating and take back your health. If you do not get to the root of the problem, but try to diet and exercise, you will continuously find yourself falling back to your old ways. You have to take this step first. Once you have determined just what the problem is, then you can work for the solution. Honestly, you may have to talk to a psychiatrist or at least a doctor. In any case, the method is the same. Drawing out the reason and then solving it is necessary. When you are at this point, you will have to find a solution to your problem. For example, if you are under too much stress, you have to find a way out of some of it. If you are a worrier, you will need to find a way to slow it down, possibly with medication. If you are depressed, have anxiety, or have other issues like this, you will need to talk to your doctor about this as well. Weight loss can not happen until these situations are resolved. Weight loss that is built on emotional issues like these need to be taken care of. Not only is it unhealthy to live in an overweight condition, but it can be very taxing on your life to live under the pressure that is causing you to be like this. It could be as simply as relieving pressures or reducing stress. Weight loss programs that are used after this point will be more effective. Weight loss can happen when you are not fighting against yourself any longer. So, start with step one and find out what it is that is challenging your weight loss. She enjoys providing useful knowledge about weight loss and exercise to her readers as well as to her children. Israel’s Chief Rabbi Invites Foreign Occupation

By David Ben-Ariel UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE! Israel’s Ashkenazi chief rabbi, Yonah Metzger, has met with the Dalai Lama of Tibet (an alleged Buddhist god) and Metzger “suggested that representatives of the world’s religions establish a United Nations in Jerusalem, representing religions instead of nations, like the UN currently based in New York. “Instead of planning for nuclear war and buying tanks and fighter jets, it will invest in peace,” Israel National News reports. Apparently a peace apart from the biblical blueprint, without proper repentance, and based upon misguided human efforts easily manipulated for political purposes. Has the chief rabbi gone mad? Is Rabbi Metzger now a rabid meshuggah? Has God hardened his heart against Jerusalem and Israel to invite such disaster? Isn’t the rabbi aware of the prophecies that warn about the world’s evil eye upon Jerusalem, and how they covet the Temple Mount? What next, a rush visit by the Bavarian pope to vie for his attention seeking to gain a better position in the “New Jerusalem”? Doesn’t Yonah Metzger know he should be promoting the Third Temple, a biblical House of Prayer for All Nations interested in learning about the God of Jacob, learning Torah and repenting of idolatrous traditions - not for arriving to teach foreign ideas or bring strange ways to the Holy Land in the perverse spirit of Babylon. Such nations must humble themselves to come up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot (Festival of Tabernacles) — not to engage in some interfaith orgy! The unacceptable alternative of the proposed religious UN, a modern Tower of Babel, must be condemned and rejected as an entirely unclean idea, a diabolical grand design, that would pollute the Holy City with the arrival of their Grand Master, a sorcerer-magician, a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Has Metzger gone over to the other side, seduced by the Babylonian Catholic Church (with its treacherous agents like David Rosen) that aims on crowing their universal king on Mt. Zion? Isn’t he opening up the floodgates of hell by summoning “The World Council of Religious Leaders” to take up wicked residence in Jerusalem, to make the City of the Great King their unholy headquarters, invoking UN Resolution 181? Are they making alliances with alien organizations like United Religions Initiative that appear like light-bringers but hide a spiritual darkness that Nimrod would revel in? This nightmare in the making brings Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion’s prediction of January 16, 1962 to mind: “…With the exception of the USSR as a federated Eurasian state, all other continents will become united in a world alliance, at whose disposal will be an international police force. All armies will be abolished, and there will be no more wars. In Jerusalem, the United Nations (a truly United Nations) will build a Shrine of the Prophets to serve the federated union of all continents; this will be the seat of the Supreme Court of Mankind, to settle all controversies among the federated continents, as prophesied by Isaiah.” (emphasis mine) Isaiah didn’t prophecy of any such godless scheme that is a dangerous counterfeit of the Temple of God — not a “shrine of the prophets.” How humanist, yet undoubtedly appealing as a pretty platitude and harmless plan to interfaith fools. The prophet Daniel does expose the Third Temple will be polluted by Europe’s wannabe divine emperor until King Messiah returns from Heaven (in full view of all mankind) and destroys such demonic activities, purifies Jerusalem and cleanses the Temple! A Look at Electrician Training

By Elizabeth Morgan Once youve selected the school you wish to attend, gone through the application procedures and started to train youll get a better idea of what area youd like to specialize in as an electrician. At some point in time you may want to consider transferring out of the school you began in and move over to a school that deals specifically in the area youve chosen. For instance, you may have started in an electrical school and after completing the first round of courses youve decided that you want to specialize in refrigeration electrician training. Your school offers a few classes in the area but after some research youve found several schools throughout the country that offer numerous courses in the ins and outs of installing and maintaining air conditioning equipment for residential, commercial or industrial use. You could get your certificate in general electronic studies and then apprentice for a refrigeration contractor for a while before learning enough on the job to be re-certified as an expert in that specific field or you could spend some time in Refrigeration School of Electronics and upon graduation, youd have learned more and still qualify for the re-certification. It all depends on your nature and whether or not you have the time and money to remain in school a bit longer. Most graduates spend time after leaving school working as an apprentice for an established professional. The hourly wage is very good for right-out-of-school workers but the benefits may be partial or placed on hold for a short period of time, however, the practical, hands-on experience is unbeatable. Some people learn better in the classroom setting and some people learn better doing the job. It takes all types. You have to decide which type you are and what you are looking for from a career as an electrician. Then you can proceed in the best possible manner to suit yourself. Electricians Info provides detailed information about electrician jobs, schools, training, tools, licenses, and services. Electricians Info is the sister site of Circuit Breakers Web. How to Make Yourself Write - Tips and Tricks

By Gina J Hiatt All writers, graduate students, and professors know that theyre supposed to write on a daily basis, or at least as frequently as possible. Despite this knowledge, most find it difficult to maintain a regular writing habit. Im frequently asked for tips on how to make yourself write, even when you dont feel like it (which for many, is most of the time!) What is the One Way Thats Guaranteed to Work? Sorry! Theres no one correct method. And what works for you now may not work at some other time. So Ive listed a bunch of ideas below. Just pick what feels right for you, tweak it if necessary, and see what works! How to Write Right Now 1. Start with right now. Dont beat yourself up about what you didnt do yesterday. Dont think about how much you have to do by Friday or next month. Just do what you need to do at this very moment. 2. Change your writing format. If youre used to typing, try longhand. This can be very freeing. Or print out your previous writing, and cut and paste it onto index cards in order to organize your thinking. 3. Remove yourself from all normal temptations, such as email and telephones. You can combine this with the previous tip. I notice that I get a lot done when Im on a plane or in a waiting room. I have a notebook with me, and I start jotting down my thoughts, and sometimes Im more prolific than when Im in front of my laptop! 4. Use a timer. When you turn it on, you know that you cant do anything else but write. No email, no Internet, no phone. The upside is that you know that when the timer goes off, you can stop writing, and do more enjoyable activities. Try setting the timer for short periods of time and then taking a break; say 30 minutes on and 10 minutes off. You can use the timer to time your breaks, also. 5. Sign up for my newsletter and receive the Academic Writers Block Wizard. Pull it out and use it when youre stuck! How to Set Up a Regular Writing Habit 1. Always write first thing in the morning, before showering or reading the paper (caffeine optional.) If youre not a morning person, pick another regular time. 2. At the end of each writing session, make a note as to what you will start with next time. 3. Have a special place where you always write. Set it up with everything you need, and if possible, dont use this space for other purposes. 4. Focus on the amount of time spent writing (or trying to write!) Dont focus on number or words, paragraphs or pages produced. What counts is the regular habit of thinking. Some days will be fruitful and others wont. It all counts as long as you put the time in. 5. Track your progress. This might take the form of an ongoing chart that shows how much youve written daily, a journal, or a graph. One creative client of mine has developed a nice technique. Whenever she sits down to write, she lights a candle. This is a signal that she is not allowed to do anything but work on her writing. A nice touch is that shes saved all the matches that shes used to light these writing candles. The matches show her how much work shes actually put into writing. 6. Put writing time into your calendar or daytimer as if it were an appointment. When others ask if youre busy then, you can honestly say, Yes. 7. Keep a running list of points that you want to cover in your work. It doesnt have to be an elaborate outline. Then when youre stuck, you can go to your list. It feels good to check each item off as you cover it. 8. Find a writing buddy. Agree that you will each write at the same time each day. You can make this a more firm agreement by calling, writing, or instant messaging each other before or after you work. Try one or more of these techniques Im sure one will be helpful. Just remember that the most important step is sitting down to write! How to Find a Good Internet Dating Site

By Stu Pearson Internet dating is so popular that I dont know anyone who hasn’t tried joining one of these sites. It seems like everywhere we surf on the Internet, various pop-up ads advertising free online personals flood our screens it’s the latest Internet gold rush. More and more people are signing up for a minimal monthly fee. What they get for their money is a place on the web where they can post their profile in order to let other people contact them. Unfortunately, as Internet dating sites increase, more and more people are also having awful experiences, because very few dating sites screen their members. This means that a sex offenders, predators and scam artists are able to join dating websites along with genuine singles looking to find their match. Here are some important things to consider before joining a dating site: 1. First, consider how the website looks. If it’s poorly designed with unappealing graphics or jagged fonts and misaligned sections, this indicates a lack of attention to detail in the construction and layout of the site, and could mean that the rest of the site’s management is in a similar state of chaos and disarray. Just think, if the webmaster can’t finesse the aesthetic aspects of the site, it’s logical to assume that they’ve done a similarly poor job with other important aspects like security. It’s possible that the site could be easily hacked, and your personal information, including your photo and contact information, aren’t secure. And if you’ve paid for membership to the site using a credit or debit card, your credit information could be at risk. Choose Internet dating sites that are professionally constructed. 2. Try to look at some of the sample profiles on the site before you sign up. Beware of sites that use photos of models or random attractive celebrities in order to attract new members. Also check out the user profiles if they contain gibberish characters or nonsensical phrases in the descriptions, these are bogus profiles posted on the site to artificially inflate the number of users. A little research into the profiles on a site will also let you know whether members are properly screened before they are allowed to sign up. 3. Try to determine if a site has a privacy link. You can find the privacy link at the bottom of a sites main page. If they have one, click on it and check to make sure they don’t sell members’ information to anyone you don’t want to be bombarded with spam e-mails and junk mail. Also look for the site’s Terms of Service page for the site’s rules check to see if they screen their profiles to disallow racist language or overly sexual material. If dont state this, then it means anything goes within this site, which is a good reason to not sign up. 4. Check if the dating site has a links page. Click on a few to see which other sites they’re affiliated with, and be careful if they’re linked to sex sites and spam sites. 5. Try to search for the copyright date, usually located at the bottom of the first page. This will give you the age of the site. 6. Dont believe everything you read. Some dating sites claim that they’ been in the business for years but are actually brand new. Look for a “whos online” link if you’re the only person currently online then their claims of having millions of users is a lie. A site with millions or even just thousands of members will always have a large number of people online at any given time. The younger the vehicle and the lower the milage, the better the chance that you will secure a low rate. Term Duration? Typical loan terms are 3, 4, or 5 years. Some lenders are offering 72 and even 84 month long loans, but they are the exception and not the rule. The shorter the term of your loan, the lower your rate will be. Money Down? If you do not plan on putting any money down, your rate will be higher. Conversely, the more cash you put down the better the chance you will secure a low rate. Once you have decided upon the key elements of the loan, and then do a search for an “auto loan calculator” to help you run exact numbers. Some sites will allow you to produce side by side comparisons of one loan versus another, but I have found that the auto loan rate comparison information on sites such as BankRate.com to be unbeatable. Specifically, you can enter the loan amount, loan term, and loan rate and get a quick response. Additionally, along with the monthly rate figure you can obtain an amortization table to experience what your payments will be over the course of the loan including interest paid out. Now as having your new or used auto loan comparison finished, you can utilize that information to find the best loan bargain available to you. Online lenders abound and offer to you a quick response and a low rate. If your credit is excellent, you should qualify for the best rate, therefore you may run copies of your credit reports and obtain your credit rating before concluding a deal. Indeed a one point difference in your auto loan rate can affect the cost of the loan by several hundred dollars. For your own benefit, you have to examine both new and used auto loans!
